As you can see below, we have chosen to use SourceForge.net’s bug tracking system to manage the reported defects for Ja.NET related projects. In order to submit a bug report using the tracker below we require:
If you only want to browse or search the bug database, you do not need to register or login before using the tracker.
Use for All Ja.NET Projects
Keep in mind this bug tracker is used to track defects for all Ja.NET related projects. So, please, when you submit a bug, it is important that you attach the bug to the appropriate Ja.NET project by correctly selecting the right "Category" setting below.
Check First
Before reporting a bug, please check to see if it is a known issue and if it has already been reported. Use the tracker below to search for your issue before reporting it. Also, if you are unsure about a defect, ask the community about the issue on the appropriate forum before opening a tracker item.
What We Need
When reporting a defect to us, please provide as much information as possible. Too much information is better than too little. At a minimum, please try to provide the following:
- Attach the bug to the proper Ja.NET project (i.e., Category drop down).
- Optionally, associate the bug with a component if you know which one is at fault (e.g., java launcher, javac, etc.).
- Include the release number in the detailed description.
- Describe the expected behavior, followed by what actually happened. Provide maximum information about the steps necessary to reproduce the bug.
- Create a test case and attach it. Include any test data, if needed.
- If you have a patch that fixes the problem, attach it as well. That would be greatly appreciated.
- Include as much diagnostic information about the defect as possible: Stack traces, screen shots, etc.
